Kate wird in diesem Jahr offizielle Botschafterin f\u00fcr den englischen Record Store Day sein. Der findet am 20. April statt. Bonus f\u00fcr die Fans: es wird eine 10 Inch Vinyl-Version von Eat The Music<\/em> geben \u2013 m\u00f6glicherweise aber nur in UK und nicht im Rest von Europa. Die neue Vinyl-Version von ETM<\/em> enth\u00e4lt zus\u00e4tzlich die beiden Songs Lily<\/em> und Big Stripey Lie<\/em>. Die Picture Disc greift nat\u00fcrlich das Motiv der Originalversion auf. Urspr\u00fcnglich sollte ETM<\/em> als erste Single des Albums The Red Shoes ver\u00f6ffentlicht werden, wurde aber von EMI zugunsten von Rubberband Girl <\/em>zur\u00fcckgezogen. Nur in den USA ver\u00f6ffentlichte Columbia Records ETM<\/em> als Lead-Single. Weitere Ver\u00f6ffentlichungen folgten sp\u00e4ter in Australien und den Niederlanden. Der Titel, schreibt Kate auf ihrer Internetseite, bezieht sich auf die Textzeile \u201eIf music be the food of love, play on\u201c von Shakespeare aus \u201eTwelfth Night\u201c. Nach den Wiederver\u00f6ffentlichungen aller Alben von Kate auf buntem Vinyl ist die Wahl von Kate als Botschafterin des Record Store Day in England nicht ganz unpassend. Sie selbst f\u00fchlt sich mehr als nur geehrt: \u201eWhat a huge honour to have been asked to be Ambassador for this year\u2019s Record Store Day. It really is a great privilege. Isn\u2019t it great to see how the resurgence in vinyl has taken the music industry by complete surprise? It had decided to leave vinyl far behind, but it would seem that not everyone agrees! In the same way that some people like to read a book on Kindle but also want to have a book as a physical object, a lot of people like vinyl and streaming. Both have different appeals. An album on vinyl is a beautiful thing, given a strong identity by its large-scale artwork.
