Geburtstag von Emily Bront<span data-original-name=\"Emily Bront\u00eb\">\u00eb (&#8222;Wuthering Heights&#8220;) hat sich Kate an einem besonderen Projekt beteiligt.\u00a0Im Rahmen des Bradford Literatur Festivals wurden zwischen dem Geburtsort der Bront\u00eb-Schwestern in Thornton und dem Pfarrhaus der Eltern in Haworth insgesamt vier Gedenksteine aufgestellt, <span class=\"\" lang=\"de\"><span title=\"In this landmark project, BLF has commissioned new works by four of Britain\u2019s best-loved literary and cultural figures, Kate Bush, Carol Ann Duffy, Jackie Kay and Jeanette Winterson, to celebrate the literary legacy of the Bront\u00eb sisters.\">um so das literarische Erbe der Bront\u00eb-Schwestern zu w\u00fcrdigen &#8211; die Idee dazu stammte von dem Schriftsteller Michael Stewart. Er hatte zudem\u00a0 vier der beliebtesten britischen Literatur- und Kulturschaffenden &#8211; Kate Bush, Carol Ann Duffy, Jackie Kay und Jeanette Winterson &#8211; gebeten, jeweils ein Gedicht zu schreiben, das an die\u00a0Bront\u00eb-Schwestern erinnern sollte.\u00a0 Diese Gedichte zieren nun die Gedenksteine. Kate war f\u00fcr Emily ausgew\u00e4hlt worden.\u00a0 <span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"de\"> &#8222;Emily hat nur den einen Roman geschrieben &#8211; ein au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliches Kunstwerk, das wirklich Spuren hinterlassen hat. <span class=\"\">Mich zu bitten, ein St\u00fcck f\u00fcr Emilys Stein zu schreiben, ist eine Ehre und in gewisser Weise eine Chance, ihr Danke zu sagen&#8220;, hatte Kate bei der Bekanntgabe des Projektes gesagt. Am Wochenende wurden die Steine nun enth\u00fcllt. Auf dem Stein f\u00fcr Emily steht:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>She stands outside<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>A book in her hands<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>\u201cHer name is Cathy\u201d, she says<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>\u201cI have carried her so far, so far<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>Along the unmarked road from our graves<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>I cannot reach this window<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>Open it, I pray.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>But his window is a door to a lonely world<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>That longs to play.<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>Ah Emily.
